Morales Tabbed NAC Rookie of the Week

NAC OFFICAL RELEASE

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lesley University first year infielder/pitcher Raymond Morales (Naugatuck, Conn.) was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference.

Morales played a key factor in Lesley's 4-1 week last week on both sides of the field. On the offensive end, Morales totaled seven hits and drove in four runs as well. Morales recorded at least one hit in every game last week and his strongest performance came in a 20-13 NAC win at Thomas when he set career-highs for both hits (three) and RBIs (three). On the mound, Morales was just as effective as the first year totaled 2 and 2/3 innings and gave up just two hits and zero runs while striking out three. Morales was able to notch his second win of the season when he came in for 1.2 innings of relief in a 4-3 win at UMPI.

Morales and the Lynx have a big week coming up as the squad hosts Wentworth Institute of Technology on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. Then this weekend, the squad travels to SUNY Cobleskill for a crucial NAC weekend four-game set against the first place Tigers starting on Saturday, April 26 at noon.
