THE LEAD – Lesley University posted its highest finish in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship earning third place honors in the eight-team field this weekend at the Cobleskill Golf & Country Club.  

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Lesley First year Vincent Spirito (Lynn, Mass.) and junior Marc Bota Carbonell (Mallorca, Spain) paced the Lynx with solid play over the two rounds, both earning All-Conference honors as Top-10 finishers in the field.
  • Spirito carded a Day 1 round of 74 (+4), recording 12 pars and a birdie and then followed it up with a 77 (+7) on Day 2 with nine pars and a birdie to come in at 151 (+11) to finish fourth overall in the field, earning First Team All-Conference honors.
  • Bota Carbonell finished in a tie for seventh place at 154 (+14) just three strokes behind his rookie teammate to earn Second Team All-Conference honors. The junior registered 13 pars and seven birdies over the two rounds shooting 78 (+8) on Day 1 followed by a 76 (+6) on Day 2.
  • Sophomore Hunter Treanor (Bulverde, Tex.) posted rounds of 83 (+13) and 87 (+17) to earn 22nd overall, finishing the weekend with 14 pars.
  • First year Adam Paradise (Portland, Maine) earned a tie for 27th with a weekend score of 176 (+36), shooting an 85 (+15) on Day 1.
  • Sophomore Reuben Wasserman (Toronto, Ontario) carded an 86 (+15) on Day 2 and finished in 29th overall with a score of 177 (+37)

WINNING PERFORMANCE

  • SUNY Delhi earned the conference championship with a team total of 603 (+43), eight stokes in front of Husson University's 611 (+51). Delhi's Grady Glennon earned medalist honors with an impressive showing of 71/72 for a weekend total of 143 (+3).
