CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In their regular season finale, the Lesley University men's soccer handed Curry College a 1-0 loss and in the process improved their remarkable 2009 season record to 14-3-2 (5-1-1 NECC).  The Lynx have won four straight games, each of them by shutout, and will now wait to find out their official conference playoffs seeding.

Joe Petit (SALEM, Mass./Salem) scored the only goal the Lynx would need to collect a win in the 77th minute off an assist from freshman Connor Stockton (QUOGUE, N.Y./Westhampton Beach).  It was Petit's fourth goal and Stockton's fourth assist of the season.

The deciding factor in this match was Lesley's netminder Max Perkins (LEXINGTON, Mass./Lexington) who held the Colonels scoreless through 90 minutes.  Perkins rejected 11 shots on goal as the sophomore recorded his third win of the season.

Perkin's counterpart between the posts, Nicholas Caiazza (READING, Mass.) made four saves while allowing the one goal.

The Lynx will now wait to see how the rest of the NECC fairs in the remaining games of their schedules.  Once the regular season is officially over, the seeding for the NECC playoffs will be determined and Lesley will find out when they will play next.
