THE LEAD – Elms College picked up an 8-1 non-conference victory over the Lesley University men's soccer program on Wednesday night in the Blazers 2025 home-opener at Leary Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Elms raced out to an early 3-0 lead following a pair of goals by Jacobo Molina Ferrer followed by a score from Dru Fairthorne within the first 25 minutes of the contest.
• LU junior Adrian Asparragoza (New York, N.Y.) got Lesley on the board just before the half with an unassisted tally to make it a 3-1 game.
• The Lynx had an early opportunity in the second half to pull within one but EC keeper Jack Bousquet denied a penalty kick to swing the momentum back in favor of the hosts.
• The Blazers used that momentum to score five unanswered goals down the stretch including two by Fairthorne and another by Molina Ferrer in the 8-0 final.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Molina Ferrer and Fairthorne each finished with the three goal hat trick.
• Elms outshot LU 19-11 on the match and owned a 6-3 edge in corners.
• Bousquet improves to 4-1 on the year in net making four saves.
• Lesley junior Aiden Hendricks (Richmond, Va.) suffered the setback with four saves.
