THE LEAD – After starting the Season at Norwich, the Lynx headed back to Vermont to take on the VTSU Lyndon Hornets. The first match of the day didn't go the Lynx's way, but match two was close; the Hornets escaped 4-3.


HOW IT HAPPENED

Doubles (Match 1):

Singles (Match 1):

  • Leading off singles action for Lesley, Nicol fell 6-1, 6-1.

  • The second spot saw Ouellette take part but ended up with a 6-2, 6-2 defeat.

  • In singles three, Wasserman was downed 6-3, won 6-2 then downed again 6-2.

  • Treanor won the Lynx's sole match 6-3, 6-1

  • Ontiveros found himself at the fifth spot in singles but was defeated 6-3, 6-2.

  • Finally, in the last singles spot of the first match, Locke fell 6-1, 6-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

Doubles (Match 2):

  • Leading off doubles in match two, the pairing of Nicol and Treanor won 6-4 in the opening matchup.

  • In the second spot of doubles, Wasserman and Ouellette were defeated 6-4. 

  • The last pairing of doubles saw Locke and Ontiveros downed in a close 7-6 match..

Singles (Match 2):

  • Leading off singles action for Lesley, Ouelette was defeated 6-0, 6-0.

  • The second spot saw Nicol win dominantly 6-0, 6-1

  • In singles three, Wasserman was defeated 6-3, 6-1

  • Despite falling in the four-spot, Treanor won 7-6, lost 6-3, then won the match 1-0

  • Nicol fell in a competitive 7-6, won 6-4 and ultimately fell 6-4.

  • Finally, in the last singles spot of the first match, Locke fell 6-2, 6-4

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Ouellette secured his first of his collegiate doubles wins in the first match
