THE LEAD – The Lesley men's & women's cross country teams kicked off the 2025 season at the New England College Kickoff race, both putting together strong team and performances in the seasonal debut. The men's squad placed first in the team event while having six top-10 finishers while the women's team recorded a second-place finish with four runners posting a top-10 mark.
LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Zephaniaya Alvarado (Manhattan, N.Y.) enjoyed a strong showing in his Lynx debut with a second-place overall finish with a 10:53 two-mile time. He was followed by first year's Prince Calhoun (Woburn, Mass.) and Jonathan Le Maitre (Easton, Pa.) who finished third and fourth, respectively with collegiate debuts times of 11:06 and 11:29.
- Sophomore Liam McNeil (Hudson, N.H.) finished seventh in his collegiate cross country debut while sophomore Osmin Castaneda (East Boston, Mass.) and junior Bendjy Auguste (Medford, Mass.) finished in the top-10 with ninth and tenth place showings.
- On the women's side, sophomore Rebecca Hall (Richmond, Vt.) placed second overall with a 13:27 showing while junior Jillian Donlan (Londonderry, N.H.) was the next LU finisher in seventh place.
- Senior Estephany Morales (New York, N.Y.) and junior Rayann Fatahi (Arlington, Mass.) snagged top-10 showings in ninth and tenth place, respectively, while Shae Thomas (Clayton, N.C.), Ariel Udell (Lexington, Mass.) and Korinne Hall-Johnson (North Brunswick, N.J.) made their LU cross country debuts.
WINNING PERFORMANCES
- The host Pilgrims captured the team win on the women's side as Althea LeBlanc recorded the win and four of her teammates finished in the top eight spots.
- In the men's race, LU picked up the victory marking the program's first team win at a race since Oct. 26, 2013 when the program captured the NECC Championship, it's sixth consecutive at the time.

- Lesley is off next weekend and back in action on Saturday, September 13 at the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College in Wenham, Mass.
