THE BASICS

THE LEAD – The Lesley University men's and women's cross country programs raced on Saturday morning in the running of the 57th Annual Codfish Bowl meet on the historic Franklin Park course.

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • On the men's side, senior Zephaniaya Alvarado (Manhattan, N.Y.) was the top Lesley racer with a 28:36 showing.
  • First year's Prince Calhoun (Woburn, Mass.) and Jonathan Le Maitre (Easton, Pa.) clocked in at 29:57 and 32:13.
  • Sophomores Liam McNeil (Hudson, N.H.) and Osmin Castaneda (East Boston, Mass.) and junior Bendjy Auguste (Medford, Mass.) rounded out the LU racers with McNeil posting a 38:26 PR. Castaneda and Auguste also posted PR's by over three minutes.
  • Sophomore Rebecca Hall (Richmond, Vt.) was first in for Lesley at 20:56.
  • The Lynx saw collegiate debuts from first years Mirandah Buch (Las, Vegas, Nev.), Shayla King (Kaiserslautern, Germany), and juniors Leah St. John (New Ipswich, N.H.) and Bella Moscoso (El Cajon, Calif.), thus, all recording collegiate PRs.

WINNING PERFORMANCES

  • Endicott College earned the team win on the Men's side, ahead of Lesley who finished second.
  • Endicott also took home the team victory in the Women's race, ahead of New England College in second follow by Lesley in third.

UP NEXT

  • Lesley is idle until Friday, October 10 when they'll race in the Hopkinton XC Festival hosted by Franklin Pierce University.
