THE BASICS

THE LEAD – Both the Lesley men's and women's cross country programs raced Friday afternoon as part of the Hopkinton Cross Country Festival, hosted by the Hopkinton Runners Society. Both programs placed 11th in their respective team finishes.

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • On the men's side, senior Zephaniaya Alvarado (Manhattan, N.Y.) was the top Lesley racer with a 27:42 showing, a new PR.
  • First year's Prince Calhoun (Woburn, Mass.) and Jonathan Le Maitre (Easton, Pa.) clocked in at 29:04 and 31:20, a new PR for LeMaitre.
  • Sophomores Liam McNeil (Hudson, N.H.) and Osmin Castaneda (East Boston, Mass.) and junior Bendjy Auguste (Medford, Mass.) rounded out the LU racers with McNeil posting a 114th place finish. Castaneda and Auguste also posted new PR's for the Lynx.
  • Sophomore Rebecca Hall (Richmond, Vt.) was first in for Lesley at 21:37 in 36th place.
  • Senior Madison Reed (Burlingame, Calif.) posted a new PR with a 57th place showing at 22:52 while fellow senior Charlotte Meixsell (Boxford, Mass.) and first year Lloy Bartolotti (Portland, Ore.) made their collegiate running debuts with times of 25:16 and 28:04.
  • Sophomore Rori Allen (Berlin, Pa.) rounded out the group with an 89th place showing at 29:58.

WINNING PERFORMANCES

  • Babson College earned the team win on the Men's side, ahead of the University of Albany who finished second. Ryan Outerbridge, running with the Hopkinton Runners Society, took home the individual win with a time of 25:21.
  • Adelphi took home the team victory in the Women's race, ahead of University of Albany in second. Emerson's Yasmin Defne Dadikhi was the individual champion with a time of 18:13.

UP NEXT

  • Lesley is back next weekend for their final meet of the regular season before the conference championship when they take on the WNEU Golden Bear Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Western New England University.
