CAMBRIDGE, MA - Sarah Wilson (Lowell, MA) tore up Southern Florida last week, batting .385 (10-26) with a .577 slugging percentage, accumulating 10 hits and knocking in 6 RBI's on her way to becoming the first NAC Rookie of the Week recipient for the 2006 season.
Wilson's biggest hit of the week came against Wilmington College (Ohio). With the base-loaded, one out and Lesley University trailing by two in the bottom of the eighth inning Wilson came through with a game-winning two RBI single.
Of Wilson's 10 hits, she had 8 singles, a triple and a
homerun. She also managed two walks which bumped her on base
percentage up to .429. Wilson also got it done on the field
boasting a .952 fielding percentage, having 11 put-out and 9
assists while making just one error.
Wilson and the Lynx will be back in action March 26th
