Cambridge, MA- As we approach Senior Day, we at Lesley Athletics would like to take a moment to honor and congratulate softball's graduating class of 2023.
A four year member of the softball team, Eldredge has appeared in 85 games. During that time, she has collected 38 hits and 38 runs scored while also driving in 14 runs. During the NECC chamionship run, Eldredge helped to propel the team to three consecutive victories, going 3-9 with 2 runs scored. The senior put up a pair of three hit games, but would have a big game to help push the Lynx past Johnson State, going 2-4 with a double along with 2 runs scored and a RBI.
A five year member of the softball team, Medina has appeared in 142 games. Over those five year, Medina has 157 hits, 119 runs scored and 87 runs batted in while slashing .322/.361/.464. Medina played a key role in helping Lesley in their 2022 championship run, going 4-12 with two doubles, a run scored and two runs driven in. The senior's key moment this year came against UMaine Presque Isle, going 4-5 with 2 doubles and a home run to drive in 3 while also scoring 3 times.
A five year member of the softball team, Kieran has appeared in 125 games. In that five year run, Kieran has 108 hits, 56 runs scored and 64 runs batted in to go along with 6 career home runs. A career .304 hitter, Kieran reached base 3 of her 10 plate appearances during the championship run in 2022, scoring once. Kieran also holds the single season record for fielding percentage (1.000) along with career fielding percentage (.982). The senior has had her fair share of big games this season, racking up three 3-hit games, with one of those coming in a 9-2 win over Alfred State. Kieran would go 3-4 with a double and 2 runs batted in to go along with a run scored.
A two year member of the softball team, O'Neill has appeared in 69 total games. During those two years, O'Neill has 39 hits, driving in 22 runs while scoring 18 times. The 2B/OF played a key part in the championship run in 2022, going 3-9 at the plate while scoring once. O'Neill's key moment this year came in a 13-3 victory of Johnson State College, going 2-4 with 3 runs batted in while also scoring once.
