THE LEAD - In their final non-conference matchup of the season, the Lynx headed to Gordon College riding high from sweeping the Hornets a few days prior. In both games, the Lynx struck early, but the Fighting Scots' offense was too much, and Gordon took both.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1)
-
The Lynx got right to work. Leah St. John drew a walk, and Madison Herbert followed with a single. A wild pitch moved both of them up. Leila Chisholm singled to center and scored both.
-
However, the Fighting Scots responded by putting up five in the bottom of the innings. Then did the same in the second.
-
In the third, they scored two and could have done more damage, but a double play by Shae Thomas ended the inning.
-
In the fourth, they were able to put up another five, and the Lynx ultimately fell 17-2/

They tacked on two more in the 4th and another two in the 5th for the run rule to come into effect. Lesley fell 10-2
