Cambridge, MA - Two Members of the Lesley Softball Team have received All-Conference awards from the NAC for the 2026 campaign. Leah St. John was selected to the Second Team All-Conference following a standout season as the team's primary catcher and utility player. Lauren Martin was selected to the Sportsmanship team, leading the Lynx from first.
This is St. John's first selection to an All-Conference Team; however, it isn't her first NAC Postseason Award. She was named to the Sportsmanship team in both of her first two seasons. This year, she was the best offensive player in the lineup. She led the Lynx in batting average (.415), on-base percentage (.487), slugging (.692), hits (27), doubles (9), and RBIs (20). She was the only Lynx to go yard; she did it three times. She also tied for the lowest number of strikeouts with three, except she played every inning this season, while some of her teammates only had a handful of at-bats.
The junior also ranked second on the team in walks with 10 and double plays with four. She ranks 7th in the NAC for double plays, and her batting average, OBP, SLG, and OPS are all ranked 6th in the conference. Against Bay Path on April 24th and then on April 28th against VTSU Lyndon, she homered in back-to-back games. In the latter matchup, she went 4 for 4 with two doubles and a home run. She drove in six runs and scored four herself in the win.
In her Junior season, Martin started every game and led the team in at-bats with 69. She recorded a .203 average, .247 on-base percentage, and .246 slugging. She got 14 hits with three doubles and 10 RBIs. However, she really shined on the field, her 178 putouts led the Lynx by a wide margin. She had a fielding percentage of .978, the second highest among everyday players. Not only did her eight double plays lead the team, it led the entire NAC. Her 178 putouts also rank her second in the conference.
