THE LEAD— Despite leading at halftime, Lesley University fell to VTSU Johnson on Tuesday evening by a 69-49 final in North Atlantic Conference women's basketball action at Carter Gymnasium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lynx owned a 28-27 lead at the break and the game was tied at 43-all with less than two minutes to play in the third quarter before the Badgers went on a tear over the final 11+ minutes of action to pull away for the conference win.
- Johnson outscored Lesley over the final 11 minutes of action by a 23-4 margin including a 19-3 fourth quarter.
- Lesley's best quarter of the night came just before halftime as the Lynx outscored VTSU by a 16-9 margin in the second, paced by five points each from Alawnah Dunda (Fort Ann, N.Y.) and Leila Chisholm (Santa Barbara, Calif.).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Dunda finished with her first collegiate double-double registering 13 points and a team-high 11 boards. First year Miranda Buch (Las Vegas, N.V.) posted a season-high 12 points to go along with six boards and four assists.
- Kristie Zator posted a double-double for the Badgers with 20 rebounds and 17 points.
- Abbie Hernandez led all scorers with 20 points while Jaylah Jones also collected a double-double for Johnson, scoring 13 points to go along with 11 rebounds.

- VTSU returns to action tomorrow, November 19, on the road against Colby Sawyer College.
