THE LEAD — Following a tough loss over the weekend, the Lynx looked to rebound as they took on VTSU Johnson in the final stretch of the regular season. The Badgers, also coming off a rough weekend, traveled to Lexington with hopes of securing a needed NAC win. It was all Lynx in the first half, but coming out of the locker room, the Badgers completely turned the tables. The comeback was just a little too late as Lesley narrowly got the 63-58 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Savannah Gravitt sank a three-pointer to start the game.

The Lynx quickly built up a lead, but the Badgers spent the first clawing their way back. Another three from Gravitt put Lesley up seven to end the quarter.

Once again, Gravitt started the quarter with a three.

It was a sign of things to come as the Lynx put up their best offensive quarter of the game with 19 points. It was also their best defense, only allowing 8.

A three-pointer in the last minute of the half from Leila Chisholm put the Lynx up 19; it would be their biggest lead of the game.

VTSU Johnson's game completely switched as they came out of the locker room. They put up 21 in the third, three more points than they made in the entire first half.

They also put a stop to the Lynx scoring, only allowing 11 points.

By the end of the quarter, the Badgers found themselves within 8.

Both teams put on a fantastic defensive performance in the opening minutes of the fourth, with only a single Lynx layup being scored.

Johnson called a timeout at the six-minute mark and immediately went on a 7-0 run, putting the Badgers within 4.

A couple of free throws and a Gravitt three gave the Lynx some breathing room.

The Badgers regrouped, hit a couple of threes of their own, and found themselves within three with nine seconds left.

Lesley was calm under pressure, hit their free throws, and squeaked out the 63-58 win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Madalynn Biagi put up a double-double with 12 points and team-leading 10 assists. On top of that, she grabbed six rebounds and tied the team high of three steals, all while playing every minute of the game.

Alawnah Dunda also had a double-double of her own with 14 points and a team-high 13 rebounds. She also recorded two steals and dished out an assist.

Chisholm led the Lynx in points with 17 points, grabbed six rebounds, gave out four assists, and tied the team high of three steals. All while playing the entire game.

For the Badgers, Kristie Zator put up a double-double. She led the team with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and also recorded three assists.

The five points separating the Lynx from the Badgers was their closest margin of victory this season.
