Reed Named NAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Madison Reed (Burlingame, Calif.) has been named the North Athletic Conference (NAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the NAC Office on Monday, September 29. This marks the third time in her career she's been named the NAC Defensive Player of the Week, also earning the honor on the Oct 2, 2023 report as well as the Sept. 23, 2024 report.

Reed enjoyed a stellar week between the pipes posting a 0.50 goals against average over 180 minutes of action that included a shutout win and a career-high in her other performance. The senior opened the week with a career-night vs. #11 Brandeis University making 11 saves to help Lesley earn a hard-fought draw (1-1) against one of the top teams in the nation. She followed it up with her 12th career shutout on Saturday vs. SUNY Delhi, holding the Broncos scoreless while making two saves to finish the week with a gaudy .929 save percentage.

On the year, the California native has made a career-high 32 saves while posting a 1.50 goals-against average, a .780 save percentage and been a part of two shutouts.

And over her Lesley career, Reed has registered 93 saves over 29 games played while recording a 0.94 goals against average compliments by a .788 save percentage.

The Lynx return to the field on Wednesday, Oct. 1 for a road contest at Curry College scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
