THE LEAD – Sophomore Leecy Cruz (San Antonio, Texas) scored a career-high four goals to power Lesley University to a 5-0 victory over Thomas College on Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's soccer action at Minuteman Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Cruz deposited a pair of first half goals in the 32^nd and 41^st minutes of action to give the hosts a 2-0 advantage heading into the break.
• The forward made it 3-0 in the 59^th minute with her third of the day as senior Maddy Duskocy (Ellington, Conn.) set up the score.
• Cruz stayed hot and made it 4-0 less than three minutes later with her fourth goal of the day
• In the second half the Terriers continued to pile on pressure, and that pressure paid off in the 53rd minute when Tre Burgess found Ivarsson, who scored to make it 3-0.
• In the 72nd minute Ivarsson earned his third assist of the game, finding Micky Woodrow to make it 4-0.
• First year Jenna Chlapowski (Eatontown, N.J.) wrapped the day with a goal late to account for the 5-0 final score. Sophomore Meriel Wordell (Newton, Mass.).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The LU keeper combo of senior Madison Reed (Burlingame, Calif.) and first year Lloy Bartolotti (Portland, Ore.) combined for the shutout win with Bartolotti making the only save of the day.
• Emily Rock played well for the Terriers making 18 saves in a valiant losing effort.
• The Lynx outshot the Terriers 43-1 on the afternoon, putting 23 on frame.

OF NOTE

• Prior to the start of the match, the Lesley University athletic department honored the seven  senior members from the program in Reed, Duskocy, Rachel Weinzimer (Woodland Hills, Calif.), Annika Gnesda (Chico, Calif.), Zoe Curtaz (Novato, Calif.), Charlotte Meixsell (Boxford, Mass.), Kylie Chagnon (Framingham, Mass.) in a Senior Day ceremony.
