THE LEAD – The Lesley University women's tennis posted a pair of wins Saturday afternoon vs. VTSU Lyndon with scores of 7-0 and 6-1 at the Beren Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Match 1)

  • Juniors Mary Osucha (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Lucy Boyce (Marshfield) made quick work in No. 1 doubles with a 6-0 result to open the day. Sophomore Anna Stamp (Belchertown, Mass.) and first year Hayley Jones (Berthoud, Colo.) cruised to a 6-1 win in No. 2 doubles to secure the point.
  • Osucha, Stamp, Jones and Emily Laperriere (Tewksbury, Mass.) swept singles action to secure the 7-0 conference victory to move the Lynx to 2-2 on the year in NAC action.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Match 2)

  • Osucha and Stamp teamed up for a 6-0 doubles win to open the second match and Lesley secure the doubles point due to a forfeit win in No. 3 doubles. Lindsey Gannon and Megan Richardson secured a 6-0 win in No. 2 doubles vs. Pamela Manriquez (Quincy, Mass.) and Michal Nuriyev (Sharon, Mass.).
  • Stamp posted a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles, Jones a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles and Laperriere a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles.
  • Richardson helped Lyndon avoid the shutout on the day recording a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles over Nuriyev in her collegiate debut.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • The Lynx win back-to-back matches for the first time since their two wins in the 2024 NAC Conference Tournament last fall.
  • Lesley moves to 6-0 all-time vs. VTSU Lyndon.

UP NEXT

  • Lesley is back on the court tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 28) when they face off vs. VTSU Johnson in more NAC play beginning at 11:00 AM.
