THE LEAD – After a dominant performance yesterday, the Lynx looked to repeat that success going into their last match of the year. Those hopes were dashed when the Lions gave the Lynx a taste of their own medicine. Despite some competitive match-ups, Lesley fell 7-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles:

Leading off doubles in match two, the pairing of Mary Osucha and Jessica Legendre won 6-2 in the opening matchup.

In the second spot of doubles, Hayley Jones and Emily Laperriere were defeated 6-0.

The last pairing of doubles saw Pamela Manriquez and Tali-Anna Sutherland lose 7-5.
Singles:

Leading off singles action for Lesley, Osucha was bested 7-5, 6-2

The second spot saw Legendre retire 6-4, 6-2

In singles three, Jones was defeated 6-0, 6-0.

Laperriere could not get the win as she fell 6-1, 6-0

Sutherland fought hard but was ultimately defeated 6-0, 6-1

Finally, in the last singles spot of the first match, Manriquez took the 6-0, 6-0 defeat
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

This was the first matchup between Lesley and Emerson in Women's Tennis on record. A match scheduled for March 2020 was "postponed" due to COVID-19.

Not including the NCAA tournament, this is the Lynx's first loss in the spring since 2023 when they narrowly lost 5-4 to Simmons on April 22nd.
