CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Korinne Hall-Johnson (North Brunswick, N.J.) has been named the North Athletic Conference (NAC) Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the NAC Office on Monday, September 29. This marks the first time since re-joining the NAC that a Lesley women's volleyball player has been honored in a weekly report.
Hall-Johnson paced the Lesley defensive effort with an impressive 48 digs over three matches and nine sets played, averaging 5.33 digs per set for the Lynx. The New Jersey native opened the week with a team-high 12 digs vs. Fisher before recording back-to-back 18-dig performances in Maine against Thomas and Husson. Both 18-dig efforts for Hall-Johnson were match-highs as well as new career-highs for the sophomore.
On the year, the New Jersey native has appeared in 13 matches and recorded 138 digs, averaging 3.84 digs per set.
And over her Lesley career, Hall-Johnson recently surpassed the 300-dig plateau and now has 302 digs for a 3.11 digs per set average over 33 total matches.
The Lynx return to the court on Wednesday, Oct. 1 for a road contest at Mitchell College scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
