Hall-Johnson Earns Second NAC Defensive Player of the Week Nod

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Korinne Hall-Johnson (North Brunswick, N.J.) has been named the North Athletic Conference (NAC) Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the NAC Office on Tuesday, October 14. This marks the second time this season she's earned the honor.

Over four matches, Hall-Johnson was the backbone of Lesley's back-row efforts registering an unprecedented 86 digs on the week. The sophomore opened the slate with a career-high 26 dig outing vs. Salem State University before following it up with a 20-dig effort vs. Elms. Over the weekend, the New Jersey native averaged 20 digs per contest in a tri-match vs. MCLA & Fitchburg State posting totals of 15 and 25 digs in the two matches, respectively, to finish the week averaging 6.14 digs per set for the Lynx.

On the year, the New Jersey native has appeared in 20 matches and recorded 1257 digs, averaging 4.15 digs per set to rank second in the NAC.

And over her Lesley career, Hall-Johnson recently surpassed the 400-dig plateau and now has 421 digs for a 3.51 digs per set average over 40 total matches.

The Lynx return to the court on Wednesday, Oct. 15 for a road contest at Albertus Magnus College scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
