THE LEAD — VTSU Johnson picked up a 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-13) North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Volleyball victory Saturday morning over Lesley University at Minuteman High School.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening set, the Badgers used a late 6-0 run to put away the hosts, 25-16 to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
- An 8-1 flurry to open the second frame give VTSU enough of a cushion to cruise to a 25-10 win, powered behind the strong service game of Max Ludlow.
- The visitors raced out to a 7-0 advantage in the final set to eliminate any chance of a comeback, holding on for a 25-13 triumph to take the match, 3-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LU sophomore Korinne Hall-Johnson (North Brunswick, N.J.) paced the hosts with 13 digs and three aces.
- Haylee Hansen led all players with 13 kills for VTSU, adding 10 digs for a double-double.
- Alana Lewis registered a match-high 17 digs for the Badgers.
- Lesley sophomore Alawnah Dunda (Fort Anne, N.Y.) and junior Shae Thomas (Clayton, N.C.) chipped in with five kills each, Thomas adding nine digs.
- The Badgers hit .333 as a team in the conference win.

- Lesley is idle until next Friday, Oct. 24 when they play host to Maine Maritime Academy in more NAC action.
